Built with very enticing baroque and rococo interior decoration. The palace was heavily damaged during the World War II but has been since reconstructed. Attached to the palace is a beautiful formal garden and surrounded woodland which adds all the more beauty to the palace and its neighbouring area. Plan to spend at least half a day when visiting this palace in order to discover it properly.

It gives makes me feel at peace with myself and nature. The Botanical Garden in Berlin is definitely a must see for anyone who is into such gardens. It is considered to be one of the most important botanical gardens in the world, holding around 22,000 different plant species.

Unfortunately, at the time of visiting, I wasn’t able to explore it all as the outside was covered in snow. Maybe the next time around I will post an update to this.

One of the major attractions is the Soviet War Memorial dedicated to commemorate the 20,000 Soviet soldiers that lost their lives in the Battle of Berlin in Apr-May 1945. A lot of green space around the park which is very popular amongst Berliners and tourists alike.
