A popular area for cyclists and walkers alike very close to the centre of Stavanger. Mosvatnet is a beautiful lake that used to be a drinking water supply for the city in the early days. Currently, it is simply a beautiful shallow lake where walkers, runners and cyclists enjoy exercising around. During the winter time, if it is cold enough, this becomes one big ice skating rink.
A footbridge crosses from the lake into the woodland on the opposite side of the nearby motorway. From there you can enjoy the beauty of the woodland. Climbing upwards would get you to a nice plateau from which you can see the city from the very top.
